We just managed it...

Back story: Big Miss was keen for the first time ever, Little Miss was all talk for a yes to participation and almost chickened out (the standing in front was the pre-arranged compromise and even that was a struggle), smiling being the optional extra. She wanted me in it with her and come hell or high water I WAS NOT doing it this year, it was the DBH's turn if it came to that! Little Boy Blue was just fine apart from the fact that this Santa (not our usual fabulous one, the one we have had the past 3 years running - this was Friday night fill in as far as I am concerned) was not all that good holding babies and the first 3 snaps had him almost fully reclined with a fab shot of his chins. Elf girl instructed Santa twice, I rearranged him twice and on the second go caused tears just as Little Miss was bearing her teeth quasi smile. Hence the red face on the little guy, not to mention the awkward lean (Santa needs lessons), the pained smile from the Big Miss - it's hard to hold a smile for that long and the non existent one from Little Miss. But we got there, as I was a hair's breadth away from leaving Little Miss out of it all together.

Never mind, we had something for the grandparents to put in their frames til next year, it tells a story of our family this year, and I love it regardless.

Happy Christmas all!
